Autoresponders Hub
Autoresponder Comparison and Recommendation
The three autoresponders I recommend are, in order of preference:
- AWeber: AWeber sets the industry standard with high deliverability and easy set up. You can manage everything from your AWeber online account. Copy and paste sign-up form into your site and blog. Totally easy.
- Pros: Free test drive, many different templates available, high delivery rate, ease of use. Unlimited messages.
- Cons: Recurring monthly fee, sometimes importing names from an existing database is difficult -- not an issue if you're just getting started.
- Affiliates: Because AWeber has monthly fees, affiliates earn recurring commissions on their referrals. Yet another reason why you see AWeber recommended more than any other autoresponder.
- Email Marketing Assistant: EMA is an autoresponder program you can install on your own domain. Takes advantage of RSS to "sneak" messages around spam filters.
- Pros: Free installation. No monthly fees. Takes full advantage of RSS. Copy and paste form generation. No problem importing names. Unlimited messages.
- Cons: Need your own domain.
- Affiliates: Three-tier affiliate commission helps make up for the lack of a monthly fee. Seems like more affiliates would recommend this program -- the software is great, the payout is good. The only problem I see is that their sales letter sucks. Good pre-selling is the key here.
- Follow-Up Mailing List Processor (currently unavailable): Like EMA, FUMP is an autoresponder program you can install on your own domain. Takes advantage of RSS to "sneak" messages around spam filters.
- Pros: Inexpensive. No monthly fees. Takes advantage of RSS to a certain degree. Copy and paste form generation. Great for people who are already computer savvy. No problem importing names. Unlimited messages.
- Cons: Slightly more difficult than AWeber and EMA to use. No free installation. Documentation does not use clear English but you can figure it out more or less. Your own domain is required.
Not a pretty web page, but this is all you need to know. Three Two great autoresponders -- check them out!
